MILITARY FAMILIES
Military families face many challenges when it comes to frequent moves, varying academic requirements, and other stressors that relate to change.
FCCPTA is eager to welcome new military families to Northern Virginia and help you navigate and advocate!
We also encourage local units and provide them with support and resources to create welcome programs. Finally, we work for an ongoing school culture and climate that meets the needs of military families and other new students.
A LOCAL LEADERSHIP TEAM FOR MILITARY FAMILIES
The FCCPTA all-volunteer team includes a Military Families Committee under the leadership of the Military Families Committee Chair. This chair also serves on the FCCPTA Executive Board so as to have ongoing representation for military families.
The committee is currently working on several initiatives including a team approach to researching what information would best benefit inbound families creating a local resource guide. To learn more or be a part of this committee, please contact militaryfamilies@fccpta.org!
